"Fractal Food" by John Walker

symmetrical green head of Romanesco cauliflower with fractal pattern of florets, seen face on
I just had to share these lovely images of a fractal Romanesco variety of Brassica oleracea, a species which, thanks to selective breeding, includes cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts. They appear along with everything from fractal programs and screen-savers to recipes and nutritional information.

We saw it at Whole Foods and it was quickly dubbed Mandelbrocilli.

I saw this at a distance and thought it was a Chia Pet®. :-)
