Geocentric Earth lecture

The Sun, Moon, and stars orbit a central Earth

Geocentric Solar System*

It’s almost unbelievable to think that there are people so cut off from reality that they long for the good old Dark Ages of the Inquisition defending the geocentric earth, but they do exist. Do they expect their doctors to say, “Take two leeches and send me a messenger in the morning”?

New blogger Flora at Subspecies has a detailed accounts of a debate between a degree-mill ‘expert’ and a science student. See “In which the universe revolves around Robert Sungenis” (and the Bible is always right). (Part 2.) Sungenis appears to be quite the jerk as well as an all-around crank and conspiracy theorist. She has picked apart his arguments neatly and politely.

“It’s almost unbelievable to think that there are people so cut off from reality…”

This is how I feel about people who deny evolution. Its just “a theory” lol it drives me crazy!

  2. Mark Says:

Wow that was a powerful refutation of the scientific arguments made by Robert Sungenis. Move over Einstein, presenting monado.

At least Flora tried to make some arguments.

  3. monado Says:

There weren’t any *scientific* arguments made by Robert Sungenis, O Geocentrism.com Admin. Flora made the sensible counterarguments; I pointed to them. But if you want an argument, how about this one? Even the ancient Greeks knew that the only shape that would consistently cast a circular shadow on the moon during a lunar eclipse is a sphere or something close to it. End of story. You are refuted.
