The age-old question

Why would a benevolent God allow evil into the world? The answer was asked thousands of years ago. There are a few possible answers:

  • Maybe he won’t—then he is not benevolent and doesn’t deserve worship.
  • Maybe he can’t—therefore he is not all-powerful.
  • Maybe he wouldn’t—then he doesn’t exist.
  • Maybe we don’t understand his reasons. Should we then abandon reason for understanding the world? Why can’t he make himself clear? Send down an explanation if he cares about us?

William of Occam’s Razor: When you hear hear hoofbeats, think horses, not unicorns. The simplest explanation is that he doesn’t exist.

  1. Me Says:

God is real, look around you. This didn’t just come from a big bang. There are thousands of copies of the bible way more proof then Plato or Aristotles works. The world is also not billions of years old. God always answers prayer. He replies Yes, maybe, later or no. God didn’t allow evil in the world we chose it. We are given the choice. Do you have a conscience? It is actually the holy spirit telling you right from wrong. Everyone sins even i and all other christians. Did you know we don’t have religion we have salvation. I will pray for you that you will come to know our Lord cause with out him we are dead. Wouldn’t you rather go to heaven a glorious place rather than return to dirt or go to hell. i’m not trying to force you to become a christian but think. Would someone print a bible in millions of languages if it was fake? God bless you. God cause his face to shine on you and be gracious to you. Read JOhn 3:16. Also read the entire book of Luke.
