Maple Leaf Foods is recalling all meat products (up from about a dozen) after testing linked all the Listeria found. They were genetically identical, so they came from the same source. And that source was the Maple Leaf meat-packing plant in North York. Cold sliced meats and many other products have been recalled. The plant was disinfected over the weekend. It may re-open on Tuesday if it passes strict tests of its cleanliness.
The recall will cost Maple Leaf about $20 million.
