Sandwalk: WIRED on Junk DNA

Larry Moran at Sandwalk has dissected an article in WIRED about Junk DNA. The soidisant “science writer” unfortunately went to creationists for their opinions on junk DNA. She didn’t have enough background knowledge to realize that they were talking nonsense. The clearest indication that the DNA is purposeless junk is that it mutates randomly at an average rate without the strong hand of natural selection to weed out undesirable mutations.
