Google Earth offers satellite pictures of anywhere on the planet. Today it expanded to include Google Stars, a look outward from any place on Earth. News releases say that it includes images of 100 million stars and 200 million galaxies. It also has information on 20,000 celestial bodies, including planets and constellations.
Google Sky’s photos were provided by many observatories, including the orbiting Hubble Space Telescope and the Space Telescope Science Institute.
