“Verbatim, the language quarterly” has been published _forever_, and now it’s online.
They are devoted to all things linguistic.
I remember one article that discussed words of the “verb+noun” form, of which there are, apparently, few. “Tosspot” (a drunkard) is one that I remember, and “scarecrow” (a mannikin to scare crows away from fields) fits the pattern. Any others?
